Lori Scappino, D.V.M.

Dr. Lori Scappino grew up in New Jersey and received a Batchelor of Arts Degree from Cornell University. Before attending North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she worked as a Molecular Biologist studying mouse immunology, the ability of blue green algae to fix environmental nitrogen and feline immunodeficiency virus. She has been working in Wilson Veterinary Hospital since June of 2006.

Dr. Scappino and her husband, Randy, share a hobby farm in Creedmoor with more than 50 animals including dogs, cats, a parrot, a horse, a donkey, goats, sheep, a cow and several species of poultry. She enjoys working with both small and large animals and has a strong desire to promote spaying and neutering programs to alleviate the pet over population problem.
