Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Childress, a native of East Tennessee, received her B.S in Biology at East Tennessee State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 1985. She has practiced in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee and Virginia before moving to North Carolina last year.
She is married to Dr. Richard Childress, senior pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. They have four grown children, three cats and two dogs. Dr. Childress’ special interests include Geriatric Care, Dentistry and Dermatology.
Dr. Andrew Reid is a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. His interest in medicine began early in childhood as he spent time with several veterinarians growing up in Eastern North Carolina. After earning his degree in Chemistry from East Carolina University and working with animals at the Brody School of Medicine in the Department of Comparative Medicine, he realized his true love was working in the veterinary field. After graduating from ECU, Dr. Reid returned home and worked as a vet assistant at a local animal clinic until his acceptance into vet school. His special interests in the veterinary field include soft tissue/orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, and preventive medicine.
Dr. Reid currently lives in the Triangle area with his fiancée Hannah, two dogs (a Heeler named Luke and a Lab named Lando), and two cats (Luna and Neville). In his free time, he enjoys watching/attending sporting events and spending time with his fiancée and animals.
